The high protective effect of Teflex (for Wood) has been determined by impregnation with 0.03 - 0.3% solution of Teflex (for Wood) in relation to damaging and coloring mold and mildew. Because of the three amino-groups Teflex (for Wood) is a very reaction capable compound. It is easily alkylated, acetylated and condensated with different organic solvents. The polar guanidine and non polar hexamethylene groupings impart the preparation adhesive and surface active properties.
Wood restoration properties of Teflex (for Wood) are the result of the modified Teflex (for Wood) and active oxygen additive which safely removes the superficial, old, decrepit layers of wood that appears to need re-finishing.
During and after the restoration process Teflex (for Wood):
- deeply penetrates into the pores of wood surface;
- polymerizes and forms a stable antimicrobial coating resulting in the elimination of microbes and the prevention of further biogrowth.
After polymerization the antimicrobial coating won’t leach into the surrounding environment.
